c 1972  Pubns drinkie

Judy Tassell has been rummaging around her box of treasures and unearthed some photos of a Pubns/P&B drinks session in Atlantic House during the early 1970s.

We are not sure of all the names, but in the first picture it is clear that Jane is telling Con Owen some scandal that Joan has already heard — then there is Malcolm, in the company of Margo Carpenter. Marian Lusher is partially obscured by Ivy Lee. Next there is Kay Griffin (front left) with a partially-hidden Bob, Frank Knight and a youthful-looking Gordon Parfitt.

In the bottom row we have Vera Vosper on the far left, with the back of the head of Derek Newton, and Dorothy. Ernie Anatol looks on as Judy Tassell attempts to bite the hand of an unseen Director of Publications. Finally those two stalwarts of Atlantic House Paperkeeping, Tom Carey and Jim Stokes, taking a rare drink from small glasses. This must have been before Jim fell off the back of a bus. He saved the two quarts of Charringtons, though.
