c1965: P & B mystery occasion

Fred Stubbs found this old photo of a Printing & Binding gathering from the 1960s but cannot recall the occasion, and even a couple of the faces remain unidentified — can you help?

1 Reg Canning
2 William Newbery
3 Ivor Hosgood
4 George Macaulay.
5 Fred Stubbs
6 Terry Whiston
7 Eddie Sergeant
8 Brian Lambirth
9 Leonard Bourton

Ivor Hosgood adds:  Interesting to see a photo of members of Atlantic House's Printing 5 (Pg5) at a pre-Christmas London restaurant c1965, which I also used in my autobiography in 2005. My word! So that's how we looked in the early optimistic days of our career! The late George Macaulay was the excellent head of section; Reginald T.Canning and the late Edward J.Sergeant were probably sub-section heads; William Newbery worked on the progressing section; and Leonard Bourton (I  believe) moved to the British Museum prior to dispersal. The photo was taken by Printing Officer Derek G.W.Brown who remained in London when the main dispersal to Norwich took place in 1968. As always, with best wishes and keep up the good work on the website! Ivor.
