Edna Syder behind the bar at The Sovereign Club. The year was probably 1978, as a pint of Bass in the Bar was 56p, according to the list, and legend has it that certain Sovereign Bar customers could get drunk for a fiver in that year. Who is the young lady? Pat O'Shea (the holder of the prestigious window cleaning contract for Sovereign House, the building with the most glass in Norwich) is obviously trying to recruit her for cradle-work. The lady in the other picture, with Edna, is Lydia Waller until someone tells us differently! And the man in the shadows, with the pint and the crossword, is Frank Lynch
