1964: Layout Section, Atlantic House
Layout Section, high up in Room H94 Atlantic House on Holborn Viaduct. In the top photo can be seen, from left to right: Olive Collier (Clerical assistant), John Westwood (Head), Norman Akehurst, Peter Branfield, Jeffrey Tabberner, John Saville with David Napthine (Chief Typographer) and Peter Sheen nearest the camera.
The bottom photo shows the studio in a less tidy, but more natural state. The door at the end led to a small office (H90) occupied by David Napthine, and Reg Vine (Studio Manager). The glassed room on the right was used for meetings — and just visible on its wall are some silk-screen printed van-streamers, always lively, colourful and fun to design.
