Hi Reg, This is me after 35 years at BT & Openreach, proving there is (some) life after HMSO. It’s my final day tomorrow (23 December 2022) and I know you wanted ‘a retirement photo’. This is about as crowded as a one-person party can get, as we were sent packing at the end of October to work from home as our building was closed for good. At least we were given some funds to purchase a few ‘household items’ – I decided on 16 bottles of vino. I’m sure they will come in handy and hope I won’t have to buy any more until Dec 29th at least!
Off to visit the ‘Earl of The Wight’ in a few days as long as I don’t sink the ferry with all the booze!
Cheers for Now
Phil (& Karen) Nash
I mentioned only the other day that you told me you were retiring at the end of 2022, after joining HMSO in 1983. On 7 March, I see, so you almost made the 40 years total. More than many of us old souls: your father John will be proud! Good to see that, with all that booze, you will be able to push the boat out. Or, more appropriately, the Isle of Wight Ferry.
This photo from the 1980s portrays your initiation into the ways of HMSO by your EO on S6b. Meanwhile enjoy the festive spirit, and all best wishes to you, Karen and of course to Himself when you meet.
