Terry Burchell writes: Jack Palmer with a lorry that appears to be chasing him down ‘Teedon’s Tunnel’ (a ploy by the office for VERY early retirement!). I have not been able to date this photo, but I seem to remember that it was early-on in the life of St Crispins. The lorry had come over the Magdalen Street flyover, the cab not being properly secured had tilted forward so that the driver had no control over the direction he was travelling. Fortunately, it was early in the morning (7.30am I think) so there were few people about and no-one was injured. Even the driver got away with it. Jack happened along as I was taking the shot.
