‘My old sailing buddy Kevin Gibbons died yesterday 16th August 2022. His wife Jackie (was Langlois) rang me late afternoon yesterday to say that he had passed away. He was in James Paget hospital following a car accident last week in which he, apparently, was not badly injured. I am sorry to say that I did not know that he was in hospital. Some time ago he had had heart troubles, and a pacemaker fitted. He was generally getting a bit slow (as we all are). I have not actually spoken to him for a while – I did send him an email on 1st August to tell him about Peter Macdonald. He did not respond. I now regret that I did not follow up with a phone call. From what Jackie has told me, I think the cause of death was probably pneumonia.’

Kevin joined HMSO as a Printing Officer in November 1967. He transferred to Norwich upon dispersal, and was promoted HPGO in 1986. He worked in Print Division and in Production HQ (Norwich).
John Galley adds: Jackie has just rang to say Kevin’s funeral will be at 11 am on 13th Sept at St Helen’s Catholic Church, Hoveton.
