Hi Reg, Hope all is well with you. Recently returned from a certain offshore island, where I’m pleased to report that ‘The Earl of The Wight’ is in rude health as evidenced by this photo taken in advance of last Friday’s England v Scotland game.
The Former CTO still using his famous ‘tea’-totaler mug, whilst it would have helpful if the other individual had taken the top off his Island Beer first!
Warm regards, P & JN
Hello Philip and John. Excellent to hear from you, and to see the smiling face of that most famous HMSO thespian, John Stewart Nash. I see that he achieved two fat ladies last month. In age, that is, you mucky-minded-minor! Still younger than Len Ellis, Harry Teedon, Tony Gummett, Harvey Wild, Cecil Hughes, a lady whose age it would be ungentlemanly to mention, and Les Birch (99 next month: our senior member unless someone knows differently). By the way, next time I see you in Norwich I have a bottle opener you can have for a reasonable price – in fact, the same price that Stan Smith charged me in 1978. See how I have managed not to mention the football. We Tooting and Mitcham supporters are above such minor matches. May your Wights always be Isleof.
All the very best, Reg.
