The sad news that Mike has died, in Norwich, was received from Phil and Mike’s daughter Karen Nash.
Mike died on 5 January 2023. The funeral will be held at St. Faith’s Crematorium, Norwich, at 1630 hours, Wednesday 25 January 2023. Details can be seen here.
Mike was born on 16 December 1936 and joined HMSO as EO in January 1967. He worked in Finance Division, in Norwich, before transferring to CCTA Gildengate House, where he became HEO Accommodation Officer.
Mike was a well-known member of the office, always appropriately attired, and invariably smoking a pipe, in those days when such things were acceptable. (His beloved pipe stand below.) He was also an advocate of well-made cheeses, as I remember, with special fondness for the exotic Stinking Bishop!
