The sad news that Sue has died, following an operation for a broken hip, came from Duncan Dawdry and other friends and neighbours in the Hellesdon area of Norwich, where she had been a vigorous member of the community.

Sue joined HMSO IT Division in October 1983, joining her late husband Don, who worked in Management Services.
Robin Kelly adds: I heard the sad news regarding Sue last night – 17 December 2022. She apparently fell over about a fortnight ago and broke her hip. She had an operation and was progressing nicely, walking around the ward with a frame and a care plan was in place for her to come home. She had been in daily contact with one of my neighbours and was quite cheerful. Sue was a bit concerned about the care plan however and was worried about it. It seems she passed away suddenly on Thursday morning. Very sad.
Ian Carter adds: So sad to hear of the passing of Sue Prutton. She was so kind to me when I was unable to cycle for a while after fracturing my collar bone, and gave me lifts to and from work for a few weeks. Will be missed in Hellesdon, where she was so active in the community.
