Good afternoon Reg

I hope this finds you well, glad to say all is well with us and we’re about to move house to a bungalow in Drayton. I’m taking Mike Betts and his boys on a tour of Chatham Historic Dockyard at the end of the month, as it was there that HMS Victory was built.

569a HMSO Golf Society

This photo was taken yesterday at Bungay Golf Club, we were celebrating the life of Gordon Robbie by playing for a whisky quaich which we had engraved and will now play for it annually. Gordon’s wife and family were there to present it and her sons also played in the competition.

Sadly not many faces there you would recognise now but at least the HMSO Golf Society keeps going.

Would be nice to get together again soon, myself, Mike Betts, Jon Betts, Jim McGregor and sometimes Paul Simmonds still meet every month for a pint or two, sadly no Mike Burroughs now as he is so unwell but we do raise a glass to him.

Best regards, Brian

Good to hear from you, Brian. Coincidentally, I saw Jim McGregor, in good form, around Tombland today. Good to hear that Gordon Robbie was honoured by the Golf Society. We’ll have to sort out a lunchtime meeting now that Summer is (nearly) here.

Best wishes – and good luck with the Drayton move. Reg
