30 November 2020 – From Hugh McDermott

Hi Reg, Good as always to hear from you.

Well that day has finally arrived and I’m retiring from the NHS. I was 65 in mid-May but was able to continue working but decided a few months back that now was as good a time as any to hang up my NHS boots! That’s true as I do now wear safety footwear in my dual role as a PPE Store Manager – and Contracts Manager. Will be heading to sunny, (should read usually a wet) Moorside (near Saddleworth Junc 22 M62) in Oldham later this afternoon.

Best regards to you, the family and all my ex HMSO colleagues.

Regards, Hugh

Hello Hugh, Good to hear from you, and well done on working in such a worthwhile area right up to your official retirement. Amazing where the time goes. All the very best to you in retirement to the fragrant pastures of Moorside! Reg.
