This photo was taken at St Stephen’s Parliamentary Press, Blackfriars, sometime around 1961–4 and shows (left to right) Michael Prestedge, Terry Sweetman, Allen Harris, Jack, and Harry Taylor. We are all standing around Jack’s large proofing press. The first three from left to right were the apprentices. While Jack was in charge of the proofing machine and Harry Taylor, sitting, was a Journeyman Compositor, then in his 70s.
